An Exclusive NYC Architecture and Design Tour

As a Luxe Magazine Gold List Honoree for 2022, I was invited to join an exclusive tour of three NYC properties that are not only famous in the design and architecture community, but worldwide. The night prior to our day of touring, we celebrated with an elegant dinner and party where I met up with old friends, as well as, forged new friendships.  It was such a fun evening and I’m truly honored to have been named a Luxe Gold List Honoree! Without further ado, here is a brief synopsis of our tour with images. Enjoy!

A Design and an Architectural Gem

A century-old Greenwich Village landmark carriage house (previously owned by Taylor Swift) that’s been fully reimagined by Zanotta. The property’s history, and the dynamic design inspirations behind Zanotta House was truly inspirational.

Hudson Yards

Where Architecture & Design  Create The Perfect Mixed-Use Development

Next, we visited a brand new, award-winning, mixed-use development in Hudson Yards, developed by Related with the collaboration of three of the most respected talents in design and architecture. The property boasts luxury amenities with unrivaled views of Manhattan and the Hudson River. The Amenities floor was designed by the Rockwell Group with high end lighting and decor, such as Apparatus lighting and boutique furniture lines. The Model unit, the Penthouse on the 86th floor, was fully designed by the team at Holly Hunt and it shows the Penthouse off in exceptional luxury and comfort. There is stunning curated art work throughout all of the public spaces.

The next building we went to is Manhattan West, adjacent to Hudson Yards. Its foundation is set on “bridges” that have been specially engineered to be placed over the working subway tunnel which allows train service to continue during the construction of the buildings. Beautiful parks and outdoor spaces were integrated throughout the urban plan and it’s been successful in bringing foot traffic in and around the new neighborhood so it doesn’t feel isolated or empty. Restaurants on the ground level help bring people to the outdoor spaces, one of which we enjoyed at lunchtime, Zou Zou’s.  Zou Zou’s interiors are spectacular and are equally matched by the modern Mediterranean menu.  The intimate luncheon co-hosted by Benjamin Moore and Luxe Interiors + Design ended our day of NYC architectural tours. It was an incredibly inspirational day shared with many new friends.
