Outdoor Living at its Finest

“It’s never too late” is a saying that can be used in most any aspect of our lives but for today, I want to make it clear that it’s never too late to update or design a very chic and purposeful outdoor space. Outdoor living at its finest adds more space for family time or to have a little quiet time by yourself. It adds another living space for at least half a year (more in warmer climates) so why not?!

My most recent project  published in Boston Common Magazine is the perfect example. The teams at Adams & Beasley and KRID worked together with our client to design the perfect outdoor space ensuring that we met their every need and their wish list. It’s a favorite space for the entire family where they watch movies, football late into the Fall and just hang out thanks to heat lamps, a fire pit and an abundance of blankets!

Living in the Northeast, where Labor Day marks the beginning of cooler weather, should not be a reason to close everything up. Continue breathing in the fresh air and enjoy your dinners al fresco until you just can’t handle the cold. There are plenty of options for storage and warm elements that will help you extend your outdoor living well into November.

You can access the outdoor patio from multiple spots in and around the house. Shown here are french doors leading out from the kitchen.

These modern barn doors hide away the large screen tv when you’re entertaining.

These doors open easily to get the movie or football game started.

Such a cozy, colorful setting!
