Manhattan

LOCATION: New York, New York

PHOTOGRAPHER: Greg Premru

This pied-à-Terre was a joy to work on. Our client’s parents were original owners of Manhattan’s Museum Tower, completed in 1983 and designed by architect Cesar Pelli, as part of the expansion of the Museum of Modern Art. Now that the home was hers, our client wanted to focus on making it comfortable and functional as a pied-à-Terre. A key element to the design of this apartment was to make it flexible for multiple users, to be reflective of their neighbor by using pieces from MOMA’s collection like the iconic Eames chair, and a hive light fixture, as well as to incorporate heirloom pieces from the client’s parents. We completed a minor renovation to improve the flow in the apartment, and the result is functional, comfortable, and well-used by everyone in the family.  We have continued to manage this property for our client throughout the years with updates and general management.
