We often work with growing families looking for larger spaces, but in this instance, our client was downsizing. Once their children headed off to college, they moved from their family home in the suburbs to a condominium in Boston’s Back Bay. Working with Curl Architects, we collaborated on an interior renovation that included moving the stairs and creating a comfortable downstairs Family room space.  While we could reuse many of their antiques and family heirlooms, we also offered a fresh twist with new custom rugs and built-ins throughout. They were at a turning point in their lives and this renovated condo was just what they needed to start this new journey.  We have since continued our work with them, helping repair furniture that became an outlet for a teething puppy and updating a chair fabric for their main Living Room.
