Damariscotta

This project is so special as it belonged to my former neighbors who were like family to me. Their daughter inherited this generations-old family cottage, built in the early 1900s by her great-grandparents. She asked us to help her keep the history while updating the interiors for a fresh, modern look.  The walls were filled with antiques, and vintage furniture filled the rooms. We began by emptying the home of its many antiques and vintage pieces to refinish the original wood floors and apply a light white wash to the walls to lighten up the dark spaces. While we refinished some of the original pieces of furniture, we also added some new pieces. Antique paintings and wall art were given new life and are now placed so you can truly see their beauty. The transformation was a complete joy for us; we know that her family will enjoy it for years to come.
